INTRODUCTION
The aim of our experiment is to measure the speed of sound in air using at least two
different and independent methods.
With the selected equipment it was possible to perform three experiments:
- resonance tube experiment (standing wave)
- a tube with two microphones
- a closed tube with an echo.
These experiments were based on the wave nature of sound and its behaviour in air medium.
By analysing the different uncertainties associated with the physical quantities used to calculate
the speed of sound, it was possible to understand the discrepancy between the values obtained and
the theoretical value.
